Most of the sites I'm recomending have an English version. Look for an American or English flag, or the words "English Version" (duh!) or "Versão em inglês."
The link to see Búzios and check it out is Buzios on line
If you're thinking about touring Rio, good sites to look at are Ipanema - this is one of the best sites for practical information about Rio and traveling in Brazil - and Rio - this is the official city site.
We're recommended a professional tour guide who speaks English to act as a tour guide in Rio, here's his info (he'd have transportation included in his price so you don't worry about that in Rio, make sure he sends you a written statement of what's included so there's no communication misshaps). Flavio can be reached at ridearoundrio@superig.com.br by e-mail or by calling his cell 5521 9828-6364 (55 is the country code, 21 the city code). He can arrange for all kinds of tours and side trips.
General information about Brazil can be found at Embratur (National Tourism Agency).
