Interview
The interview went fine, except that I don't remember how I filed my taxes in 1984 (yes, almost 20 years ago!) and they want a letter from the IRS saying that I don't owe any back taxes. The woman also couldn't believe that I don't work. Well, I didn't want to go into it, how Steve and I decided years ago that one of us would stay home with the kids. I guess my joke that I'm a kept woman didn't go well. But I passed the test (yeah!), got 10 out of 10 right. I asked if I can leave the country, and I was told that it'd be no problem if it's for a couple of days. Good, Canada is on January, I want to be sure it'll be ok. I'll call the IRS now and ask for that letter. 10/24/03
The lady at the IRS can't believe they're asking for something regarding a return more than 7 years old. But she's sending it, that's all I care.
Eneida (that Brazilian friend I mentioned that I met at fingerprinting) interviewed the same day I did. She got the go ahead, and was told that her oath ceremony should be around January. But she just got a notice that her ceremony is scheduled for December 19th. I haven't heard anything about mine. 12/4/03
Next ranting.
