Their Work Begins
I received an official notice today from the Homeland Security saying they received my application - and my payment - but that I'm missing documents. Already? I went through the check list twice to make sure I put all of the required papers in the proper order inside the envelope. I wonder what I missed. The good thing is that they tell you not to send anything else, they will let me know what I'm missing and I'm to bring it with me when I go. I'll bet they want a couple of tax returns. That's always what they want, let me see if you paid taxes. That's fine, I'll take it. And at the end of the paper, they state that the whole thing can take up to a year. And I was so excited that the response was fast! It's a good thing that they take their time, though, it wouldn't do any good to have people applying with false papers. We know where that can lead us.
