We always start with lots of Champagne... This year was no different. We had magnums of Domaine Chandon Cuvée 2000 (Many thanks to Schieffelin & Somerset for that and more!). The guys went golfing, and we had to relax. The hardest part was choosing between a massage therapy (with Catherine, Sandra or Kim), a facial (with Connie), a manicure (with Sandy) or a pedicure (with Michelle). Meanwhile at the golf course, Sal Barron ended up with closest to the pin and Rick Rogalski hit the longest drive. Lowest net is still being contested by the two teams with the biggest liars on board. A new course record was set however... highest bar tab for a municipal golf course in America. As for the prizes? Safe rides home from respective Significant others. The only damage reported was that Nicholas Slater now believes that this is what Daddy does at every golf outing. When the guys came back (so soon?), we had a delicious barbacue of beef and chicken "kabobs" from The Beef Palace, veggie kabobs and rice. Adriana forgot to get more cookies for desert, but the guests forgot that slight when they opened Steve's cellar and pulled out some killer wines: '97 Paoletti Cabernet Sauvignon '97 Paoletti Non Plus Ultra '98 Groth Cabernet Sauvignon, Oakville '97 Del Dotto Cabernet Sauvignon '97 Chateau Calon-Ségur '97 Lancaster Reserve '97 Neibaum-Coppola Rubicon (Thanks for everything, your wine, the massages...!!!) '98 Topel Cabernet Sauvignon '98 Turnbull Cabernet Sauvignon '97 Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon '97 Caymus Special Selection Cabernet Sauvignon '93 Beringer Cabernet Sauvignon '96 Ridge Geyserville '97 Ridge Monte Bello, Magnum '95 Montagny 1er Cru (White Burgundy) '98 Hanna Bismark Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon '98 J.M.Gerin Côte-Rôtie Champin Le Signeur ... and many others snuck in the garage by those too fearful of Steve's response. AW&S motto: "Always better to beg for forgiveness than to ask for permission." When it was time to go, they all took goodie bags filled with Neutrogena products (Many thanks to Steve Wise!). Now, that's what I call a Holiday Party!! |
